What is Salary Calculator?

A salary calculator converts your pay between different time periods -- annual, monthly, biweekly, weekly, and hourly. It helps you compare job offers, negotiate raises, budget accurately, and understand your true earning rate across different pay structures.

How to Use

  1. Enter your salary amount and its pay period (hourly, annual, etc.)
  2. Set your working hours per week and weeks per year
  3. The calculator converts to all other pay periods
  4. Compare net pay after estimated tax deductions

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I convert an hourly rate to annual salary?
Multiply hourly rate by hours per week, then by 52 weeks. For example, $25/hour x 40 hours x 52 weeks = $52,000/year.
What is the difference between gross and net salary?
Gross salary is your total pay before any deductions. Net salary (take-home pay) is what you receive after taxes, insurance, and retirement contributions are subtracted.
How do biweekly and semi-monthly pay differ?
Biweekly means every 2 weeks (26 paychecks/year). Semi-monthly means twice a month on fixed dates like the 1st and 15th (24 paychecks/year). Biweekly gives you 2 extra paychecks.
